Prom-O-Rama, which took place February 23 from 10am-2pm, was deemed a success. Tucson College helped collect more than 575 prom dresses that were gathered from women in Tucson and surrounding areas that wished to sell dresses, and from organization that also sold and donated dresses.
This was a community service event to help teenage girls and their families find a beautiful dress at a cost they could afford. All dresses were priced between $0 - $150. Dresses that were donated were given to girls for free! Some of the dresses were brand new with the tags still on them. Others were gently worn.
Goodwill of Southern Arizona was honored to participate in such an event. All in an effort to help keep costs down for Pima County high school girls who planned on attending their proms.
