Career Development Services for Goodwill Employees

Before becoming employed by Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, over 85% of our employees were considered low-income individuals. Because these employees face a wide variety of barriers to employment including: welfare dependency, long-term unemployment, ex-offender, low academic skills, un-diagnosed disabilities, etc., Goodwill Industries provides comprehensive Career Development services for all employees.

Under this program, employees have access to individualized, one-on-one career development services through a full-time Career Development Specialist. Services are tailored to meet the needs of the employee and designed to assist the employee in advancing their career within Goodwill Industries and/or to pursue career advancement opportunities outside of Goodwill Industries.

Services include, but are not limited to, referral to appropriate day care, referral to ESL and/or GED classes, referral to family counseling services, referral and funding assistance to attend Community College or other approved training programs.
