In the last year (ending June, 30,2014) Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona:
-Served 9,567 people with disabilities and other barriers to employment
-Kept 25 million pounds out of Southern Arizona landfills
-Had over 24,000 visits at our Job Connection Centers in Tucson, Sierra Vista and Benson
-Over 1.5 million shoppers benefitted from low-cost purchases in our retail stores
-Over 403,000 donors generously provided material goods.
GOODWILL INDUSTRIES of SOUTHERN ARIZONA'S READY-TO-EARN CALL CENTER/CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING is specifically designed to provide unemployed and underemployed individuals with the entry-level skills needed for successful employment in Tucson’s Call Center Industry with starting wages of $8.50 - $14.00 per hour.
Provided directly by Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, this program is accredited under CARF-the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities-Employment Skills Training and licensed by the Arizona Board for Private Postsecondary Education. The Ready-to-Earn Training program is highly respected by area employers and has won three national awards.
Through our Business Advisory Council, Goodwill Industries maintains contact with area Call Center employers and revises the training curriculum based on changes in the employers' entry-level requirements.
The program accepts self-referrals and referrals from a variety of community agencies such as the Job Connection and Pima County One Stop. Participants are encouraged to design and direct their job search, research call centers, and select job choices for application during the course of the program. The training is provided with funding assistance from the City of Tucson.

REQUIREMENTS (To Attend A Screening Session):
• Must be 18 yrs or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Speak & Read English fluently and at 8th Grade Reading & Comprehension Level
• Motivation to seek employment immediately & succeed in the Call Center Industry
• Able to pass criminal background (No Theft, Violent or Crimes of Sexual Nature)

A review committee evaluates all applications, assessments, interview results and potential for hire to select the final candidates

Review Call Center Industry PowerPoint Presentation (30 minutes)
Nelson Denny Testing: (15 minute Vocabulary Test) & (20 minute Comprehension Test)
1 minute Typing Test online (5 minutes)
Customer Service Quiz (5 minutes)
Computer Skills Quiz online (20 minutes)
