GoodGuides Success Story

The GoodGuides staff at Goodwill of Southern Arizona received the following e-mail from the Arizona’s Children Association after a mentor and mentee were matched for less than a month.

“I was just e-mailing to let you know that my client has been doing much better since you have assigned him with his mentor. My client used to act out once a week but is currently doing very well in the home environment and getting along amongst his peers. He is much happier since he started spending time with his mentor. It is obvious that he is a great influence and I really appreciate that you set these two up with one another. Again, thank you for all you do it means a lot.”

The report log for a mentor who is matched with a young man from Kenya stated the following:

“The mother actually stated she is feeling better about her decision to come to the U.S. She attributes this to her contact with GoodGuides and Goodwill helping her and her family.”
