Summer Youth Program

Goodwill/Pima County Summer Youth Program 

Are you between the ages of 17 and 21 and need a job for the summer?
Are you an employer who needs work completed but can't afford to hire a full-time employee?
The Goodwill Summer Youth Program could be a perfect fit for you.

Youth Qualifications:
-17-21 years of age
-TABE scores at grade level
-Live in Tucson city limits
-Meet WIA funding requirements
-Good candidate for 100% completion

Process for Youth:
-Apply online at www.pima.gov
-Complete TABE testing and intake process at County to confirm eligibility
-Attend orientation and full day training at Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona
-Work 32 hours for 5 weeks at minimum wage
-Meet 100% attendance and 90% skills requirements
-Gain valuable work experience for future employment

Process for Employer:
-Meet with Goodwill to discuss number of students needed and job description
-Participate in Employer Orientation
-Complete weekly evaluations and validate timesheets
