Goodwill Pima County Youth Employment Programs
Are you between the ages of 17 and 21 and need a job after school or for the summer?
Are you an employer who needs work completed but can't afford to hire a full-time employee?
The Goodwill After School and Summer Youth Programs could be a perfect fit for you.
Youth Qualifications:
-16-21 years of age
-Test of Adult Basic Education scores at grade level
-Live in Tucson city limits
-Meet Workforce Investment Act (Federal) or General Fund (County) funding requirements
-Good candidate for 100% completion
Process for Youth:
-Fill out Pima County application-Hard copy or online at www.pima.gov
-Pass the Test of Adult Basic Education assessment testing with Pima County
-Attend intake process at Pima County to confirm eligibility
-Finish two-hour orientation at Goodwill
-Complete all day Employability Skills training (8am-4pm) at Goodwill
-Work required hours at minimum wage ($7.80/hour)
-Meet 100% attendance and 90% skills requirements
-Gain valuable work experience for future employment
-Fill out application during orientation
Process for Employer:
-Meet with Goodwill to discuss number of students needed and job description
-Participate in 30 minute Employer Orientation onsite
-Complete weekly evaluations and validate timesheets
